Many children will need orthodontic care to properly correct their occlusal problems. When orthodontic and physical therapy care are utilized together to treat children with spinal posture issues and malocclusion- dramatic results in a child's overall appearance and health are often observed.
I feel strongly that children between the ages of 2-16 should be screened for spinal issues. As you can see from the research, spinal issues, that aren't always obvious- can have significant long-term implications on a child's healthy development. These problems can be easily corrected when addressed early on.
