TMD:
Temporomandibular disorder is a TMJ condition that is often characterized by a combination of symptoms including:
-Clicking, popping, grinding, locking or joint noises
-Limited mouth opening
-Jaw pain
-Tenderness at the back base of the skull
-Limited stiff neck motion
This condition can cause pain, difficulty chewing, headaches, popping and eventually limit your jaw motion. The concern is that these problems can become progressively worse. Our approach is to identify the causes, educate to avoid the causes and then to fix the problem- through corrective exercise and hands-on techniques to allow muscular and joint recovery. Depending on the severity of the condition, recovery can often be quite rapid.
