Chronic Sinus Infections (Sinusitis) including,
chronic symptoms of:
-Ear
-Nose
-Throat
Recurrent sinus infections that have received multiple antibiotic treatments are often caused, not due to infections, but rather due to myofascial trigger points (irritable hypersensitive bands of tissue). Worse, when treated with antibiotics regularly, individuals can often develop antibiotic candiasis- an overgrowth of bacteria that often causes symptoms such as chronic pain, fatigue and lethargy.
Dr. William Teachey, an ENT physician in his research article, Otolaryngic Myofascial Pain Syndromes, states that-
"41% of the face, ear, nose, and throat symptoms that he sees in his practice are due to myofascial trigger points."
Of course, always see an ENT physician first for your sinus, ear, nose, throat symptoms. However, if they remain unresolved after multiple attempts at treating- you are most likely experiencing the pain and/or annoying symptoms due to easily-treatable myofascial trigger points. Headaches- migraine & tension: These persistent painful headaches have been proven to have myofascial trigger points (irritable hypersensitive bands of tissue) connected with them. Individuals are often shocked that persistent life-long migraine headaches could be so easily resolved and treated by simply alleviating their trigger points and head and neck movement restrictions. when you don't have to.
